SafeKeep is a personal document vault that helps users track and organize important documents, IDs, medicines, and bills — with reminders before anything expires. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
Important Note:
- No login or signup is required to use the app.
- All your documents, medicines, bills, and family data stay 100% on your device.
- SafeKeep does not use the cloud — there is no account, and nothing is uploaded to any server.
Document & Data Storage
SafeKeep stores all documents, document numbers, medicine records, bill and subscription details, and family member information locally on your device inside an encrypted database. Any document photos you scan or attach are individually encrypted and stored only in the app's private storage on your device. We do not access, upload, or transmit your documents, personal identification numbers, medicine details, or family information to any server — SafeKeep simply has no server to send it to.
Biometric Lock & Secret Vault
SafeKeep offers an optional app lock and a Secret Vault, both protected using your device's built-in biometric authentication (fingerprint or face unlock). Biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system — SafeKeep never receives, stores, or has access to your raw fingerprint or facial data at any point.
Backups
If you choose to export a backup of your vault, it is saved as an encrypted file within the app's private storage on your device. SafeKeep does not automatically upload backups anywhere — sharing or moving a backup file off your device is entirely your choice and your responsibility.
Information We Collect
We do not directly collect personal information. However, if you contact us for support, we may collect your:

This information is used only to respond to your queries.
Data Collected Automatically
The following information may be collected automatically by third-party advertising services used in the app:
- Approximate location (country/region level)
- Crash logs and diagnostics
- App interactions and usage patterns

This data helps improve app stability and advertising relevance. It is never linked to the documents, medicines, or bills you store inside the app.
Third-Party Services

For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, SafeKeep uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request advertising consent in line with GDPR requirements before showing personalized ads. These services may collect:

- Camera & Photos – to scan or attach document photos, which are then encrypted and stored only on your device
- Run at startup – to reschedule your expiry reminders after your device restarts
Important Note: Permissions are only used for app functionality and never for unauthorized access or data collection.

- Ads never appear inside your Secret Vault
- Ads never appear while you are viewing document images
